Research Topic Reflection

Emojis have had a huge impact on society, It has changed the way we communicate with others. In this essay we will be exploring how Emojis were first introduced in text-based communication and what were the benefits. While some may argue that it has a negative impact on our society, Based on the research, Emojis are not as useless as many may think. Whilst writing the previous essay about the “Origin of Emoijs”, there were many more questions that might not have been discussed. This “Inquiry-Based Essay” would allow us to dig deeper in our research and topic as it allows us to use more than four sources, thus allowing us to write a detailed essay. What Inspired me was that Emojis are commonly used among phone users, but not many acknowledge its importance. The essay would provide the information about the use of Emojis. Three questions that I came up with are, “Why are Emojis so effective in text based communication?” , “Are Emojis not good enough to convey our message?”, And, “Does the use of Emojis switch the tone, does it change the meaning of context?”. The essay would be informative and argumentative. I plan to explore my questions is using databases to find scholarly article that would help prove the message of the essay, This essay also require some magazine articles, that would be used in the essay to discuss briefly about the topic. The point of this essay is to gain knowledge about our desired topic that we chose to write our essay on.

Dear Incoming Freshmens, (Post Essay Reflection)

Writing is a form of Language that is used to convey a message or express ourselves in way that can be understood by others. Over the next few years, “Writing” would be a critical aspect of your studies, almost every course would require a writing task. Writing can help us spread our concerns and knowledge. It allows us to discuss any topic of our choice that we are curious to learn about or something new, and find different sources related to the topic of our concern. Viewing what others think about a certain topic would help us understand from different perspectives, it would improve our own research as it provides all these little pieces of evidence to support our claims. We might find some information that have a different perspective and views than ours. Over the course I have learned a lot about writing, Which includes, Different types of formats, How to cite certain sources, and most importantly, how to write a well developed essay. There are many steps to write an impressive essay, you have to search all sources related to your essay then discuss it with your peers and what they think about your topic of research. This brings us to an interview, which is can be very important to our research. Knowing what others think about our topic would advance our knowledge and might change our views. When writing, the most crucial part is to make connection between your ideas, don’t rush your thought, always keep it simple and collect your sources, Ideas and thoughts.

Sincerely,

Reflection on your composition C2G

Composition project allows us to convey our message to our target audience in different Genres and Mediums. Early on, we wrote research and Inquiry based essays to build our knowledge by gathering scholarly articles and other sources to writeour essay on. The main purpose of C2G is to use two genres to share our ideas with the audience. The idea of my project is to inform the audience of how Emojis are important as a Language. Some barriers I encountered in communicating were to choose a specific audience and what Genre can I use to effectively convey the message. I overcame this barrier by looking for audience who would most likely to be interested in my topic. When working on research essay, we were supposed to write a certain number of pages in MLA essay format. But in C2G, It’s a little bit more creative and fun. Most importantly we are to chose two Genres of our choice to work on. I chose a magazine article and a Newspaper because they allowed me to explain my topic about “Emojis” more briefly with details and images so it would be more interesting and easily understandable.
